Unframed Images: Photography from the Collection of P.H. Polk
The Wren’s Nest is partnering with Tuskegee University, Mississippi State University Libraries, and The Southern Literary Trail to show this photo collection of P.H. Polk. P.H. Polk was born and raised in  Bessemer, Alabama. He studied art at the Tuskegee Institute. He later opened his own photography studio in 1927. Polk’s work depicts everyday 20th Century African-Americans from all walks of life. You can see the display at the Wren’s Nest.
