Serving Others

What Is Serving Others?

Trinity is committed to serving the community beyond the walls of the church, both locally and globally. Trinity has long-established relationships with ministries in Atlanta, and the church community is encouraged to consider volunteering with these organizations. Two local service opportunities to highlight, among the many at Trinity, include working with the local refugee community in Clarkston, GA, and Lazarus, a relational ministry that partners with the homeless in the city of Atlanta. Global service partnerships include working with ministries in the Dominican Republic and in Haiti, and opportunities to volunteer on trips to serve these ministries and communities.

Why Should I Consider Serving Others through Trinity?

One of Trinity’s four pillars as a church is influence; using the church members’ wide range of gifts and skills to encourage, uplift, and build relationships with others in the city and the world is an important way to live this out. Bringing the gospel, restoration, and love can be done on a small or large scale, and Trinity is proud to partner with existing organizations and ministries to serve the diverse population of Atlanta, through ministries like Lazarus (homelessness), BeLoved (sex trafficking), local refugee nonprofits, and by offering beautification projects to serve our neighbors as a church.

Who Is This For?

Everyone at Trinity is welcome to volunteer with local or global ministries. If you have a question about a specific ministry, reach out to your parish pastor or visit the events page. Trinity often highlights the work of ministries with informational meetings and community events and offers opportunities to get involved year-round.

Where Do I Serve?

Lazarus and the Refugee ministries at Trinity meet locally around the city, whereas other ongoing service opportunities include international travel to serve with ministries and churches abroad.

When Do I Serve?

Opportunities to get involved arise throughout the year! Lazarus teams serve in the city every week and expect a regular commitment from their volunteers. Other ministries and special Lazarus events (such as Health Day or the Lazarus Christmas Dinner) welcome the Trinity community to volunteer once or often.

How Do I Get Started?

To get plugged into the various service ministries at Trinity, visit the events page, and reach out to the appropriate ministry leader or your parish pastor to learn more. As new initiatives are launched, the church will often announce them in the News and Events flyer or on Sunday mornings.
